There were problems for WAN link utilization and slow application, especially in the morning when all of users on remote site login into system. We did pilot and achieved 80% data reduction over WAN. But most important we almost avoided morning's peaks.
Major applications - CIFS 70% of traffic, HTTP - 25%. Rest very specific, not so much traffic, but also are optimized quite well (45-75%).
At the end of pilot we decided to buy production system, which works well for more than half year.
