changing it to the S-SH makes sure that the server send its data back S-SH whci then can optimize the traffic.
Thats why this only works with client initiated sessions and not server side initiated session unless you set the defg to the pri address of the s-sh (something you dont want to do).

Hi All,
Can any one please help me to understand the concept of out of path deployment
I understand we point to the primary interface IP of S-SH as a fixed target on C-SH to establish the peer connection, but the deployment guide also says in this scenario the client ip would be changed to the S-SH primary interface when communication to the server
I need to understand why is the Client IP changed in this scenario but not in the usual physical in-path or virtual in-path deployment
I am very new to Riverbed and i have just started studying so please help me to understand this concept
