I use it for bakcup exec with no issues, for HP you just need to make sure no encryption or compression is turned on.

can you help me, please, with some information about -how can riverbed steelhead appliances improve/accelerate the backup/restore process over WAN in case of HP Data Protector or Symantec backup exec.
